Thin Lizzy- The boys are back in town

Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist/vocalist Phil Lynott met while still in school. Lynott assumed the role of frontman and led them throughout their recording career of thirteen studio albums. Thin Lizzy are best known for their songs "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town", all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott's death in 1986, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years based around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes, though Sykes left the band in 2009.

The Wynners - Sha La La La

The Wynners are a Hong Kong pop band formed in the 1970s. The five-piece is made up of Alan Tam (vocals), Kenny Bee (vocals, Keyboard, rhythm guitar), Bennett Pang (lead guitar), Danny Yip (bass guitar) and Anthony Chan (drums).

Began as an Hong Kong English pop band, The Wynners were assembled by manager Pato Leung in 1973 out of an earlier incarnation of the group, the Loosers. Bee, who was with the Sergeant Majors before joining the Wynners, was the only one not part of the original lineup.

The group soon became one of the most popular teen idol group in Hong Kong at the time. The group's first studio album, Listen to the Wynners, released in 1974, was a commercial success, as were its followups.

Their success in music was also translated to other forms of the popular media, including a television show on TVB, the Wynners Specials (1975), and three feature films, Let's Rock (1975), Gonna Get You (1976) and Making It (1978).

In 1978, members of the group went separate ways to develop their solo careers. Alan Tam and Kenny Bee went on to become two of the most popular stars in Hong Kong in the 1980s.

Never formally disbanded, the Wynners have since reunited on stage every five years to sold-out crowds. Most recently, they held a benefit concert for Family Bridges at the Oracle Arena on 25 October, 2010.

On 1 April, 2011 they reunited again at the Artistes 311 Love Beyond Borders fundraising event setup by Jackie Chan in Hong Kong to help tsunami victims in Japan.

Daniel Boone - Beautiful Sunday

Daniel Boone (also known as Peter Lee Stirling, born Peter Charles Green, 31 July 1942, Birmingham, England) is an English pop musician who became a one-hit wonder in the U.S. with the single "Beautiful Sunday" in 1972. The song was written by Boone and Rod McQueen and racked up millions in singles sales worldwide. It peaked at No. 15 on The Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the summer of 1972, having already reached No. 21 on the UK Singles Chart earlier that same year. In 1972, Boone was the recipient of the "Most Likeable Singer" award from Rolling Stone magazine.

White Plains - My Baby Loves Lovin'

White Plains were a British pop music group, that existed from 1969 to 1976.

White Plains evolved from the late 1960s pop/psychedelic band The Flower Pot Men, composed of Tony Burrows, Pete Nelson, and Robin Shaw together with Neil Landon (who went to Fat Mattress). The band was primarily a studio project led by John Carter. The last single of the Flower Pot Men for Deram Records was composed by Roger Greenaway and was an attempt at a hit single in the style of the then popular Love Affair called "In A Moment of Madness". The single did not chart and for the next single the band's name was changed to White Plains. The band's songs were mainly produced and written by Greenaway and Roger Cook.

White Plains released several hit songs, including 1970's "My Baby Loves Lovin'" (number 13 on the U.S. charts and number 4 in Canada), and 1971's "When You Are A King" (number 13 on the UK Singles Chart[1]) that was translated to Hebrew and covered by the Israeli singer, Shlomo Artzi. "Lovin' You Baby" reached #35 in Canada. White Plains kept changing their line-up during its relatively short existence. Burrows, who sang on most of the group's charting hits, was the band's original lead singer. At the same time Burrows did studio work, singing on hits by The Brotherhood of Man, The Pipkins (again with Roger Greenaway), and Edison Lighthouse. Dave Kerr-Clemenson also left Edison Lighthouse in 1973 to join White Plains.

The group's top-selling song "My Baby Loves Lovin'", was recorded on 26 October 1969, and was released on 9 January 1970 on the Decca Records imprint, Deram Records. The song has been featured on many CDs, including a White Plains compilation and "The Voice of Tony Burrows" CD, a compilation of hits sung by Tony Burrows under the various names that he used. The full-length album version of "My Baby Loves Lovin'" has never been featured on any CD.

"I've Got You On My Mind" was a UK hit, reaching #17. The 1973 hit "Step into a Dream" was used in British television commercials for Butlins' holiday camps. Burrows, Nelson, and Shaw would meet again in 1974 in First Class, another John Carter project that scored worldwide with their single, "Beach Baby".

Edison Lighthouse - Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)

"Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" is a popular song by "one-hit wonder" Edison Lighthouse. The single hit the number one spot on the UK singles chart on the week ending on 31 January 1970, where it remained for a total of five weeks.

"Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" was written by Tony Macaulay and Barry Mason. Essentially, they were a studio group with prolific session singer Tony Burrows providing the vocals. When the song became a hit, a group needed to be assembled rapidly to feature the song on Top Of The Pops, a popular TV show. Sylvan Whittingham found a group called Greenfields and brought them to the auditions a week before their appearance on Top of the Pops. Once chosen and rehearsed, they appeared on the show as 'Edison Lighthouse' to mime to the fastest climbing number 1 hit record in history. Burrows sang the song on the programme during his third appearance on the same show with three different groups. It reached number 5 on US pop chart, number 3 in Canada, and number 1 on the UK Singles Chart for five weeks in January and February 1970.
